Valeria Anderson-Käsper was a pioneering documentary film director born in 1932 in France and later lived in Estonia. She graduated from VGIK in Moscow and worked at Tallinnfilm from 1959 to 1989. Anderson-Käsper is considered a key figure in the Estonian poetic documentary school and critical journalism in Soviet film.
